Location

Tucked away in the glorious countryside of East Devon, this holiday offers everything that the idyllic rural retreat should. You’ll be staying within the East Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, surrounded by blissfully peaceful country vistas and just a short drive away from lively market town Honiton.

Local attractions include Honiton itself – famous for its lace and pottery – and Jurassic coast beaches, as well as the general splendour of the area’s rolling hills and long winding rivers.

Accommodation

Your accommodation on Stonehayes Farm consists of a traditional thatched Devon longhouse, full of country charm and quirky historic features alongside all the modern comforts you need. A wide front hallway opens into the bright, airy drawing room on the right; to the left is the snug, the annexe, and the kitchen and dining room.

There is one bedroom on the ground floor; the other two can be found upstairs off a long landing. Each is ‘zip and link’, meaning the beds can be made up as either two Twins or one King at your request. All have ensuite shower rooms, in which the showers may need to be accessed by a small step.

The large gardens sit to both the front and side of the house, with extensive views out over the Devon countryside. In them, you can relax in the hot tub and listen to the birdsong whilst squirrels scoot about on the lawn.

Activities

In this popular holiday destination there’s lots to enjoy, from soaking up the beautiful countryside views to cruising over the waves along the coast. For lovers of nature, Bicton Park Botanical Gardens contains everything from a mini-golf course to a Tropical House, while a peaceful afternoon at the nearby Donkey Sanctuary is the perfect chance to befriend an animal well known for being gentle and playful by nature. Finally, one mustn’t forget to indulge in the all-important Devon cream tea – traditionally cream before jam in this part of England!

Once you have settled back in for the evening, play games in the on-site games room or retreat to relax in the hot tub.

Every holiday with Dementia Adventure is unique! Your itinerary may vary depending on the date, and will be released to you in good time before your departure.
