This is the bucket-list event for runners around the globe.

The London Marathon takes you on a 26.2-mile journey past world-famous landmarks, from Tower Bridge to Big Ben, with thousands of people cheering you on every step of the way.

We’ve now allocated all of our places for 2026 but if you have your own place in the event, and would like to be a part of the Dementia Adventure team, we’d love to hear from you

If you’re interested in running in 2027, we’ll be publishing an application form after the 2026 event so please check back then.

As a small charity, we simply couldn’t do what we do without people like you. Our London Marathon runners play a hugely important role in helping us provide supported holidays, dementia-inclusive community events, and practical help for families living with dementia.

FAQs

What’s the date of the London Marathon 2026?
26th April 2026. 2027 will be the 25th April.

How fit do I need to be?
You should be able to train towards running 26.2 miles safely. We recommend starting your training at least 4–6 months in advance.

Will I get fundraising support?
Absolutely. As per above, our team will support you with ideas, resources, and cheerleading from start to finish!
