The Thames Path Challenge is one of the most popular Ultra Challenges in the UK, offering a scenic and varied route along England’s most famous river.

Starting at Putney Bridge in London, the 100km route follows the Thames towpath to Henley, passing through Richmond, Hampton Court, Runnymede, and Windsor.

Whether you’re walking, jogging or running, solo or with friends, this is a memorable and rewarding way to challenge yourself and support a good cause.

When is the Thames Path Challenge?
The event takes place on 12–13 September 2026.

Where does the route go?
The full 100 km follows the Thames towpath from Putney Bridge to Henley, with shorter options covering sections of the same route.

Can I do it over two days?
Yes, there are options to complete the challenge over two days, with an overnight rest stop and a camping package available. (Cost to be covered by the participant)

Do I have to be super fit?
No, you can take it at your own pace. With distance options from 10km to 100km, there’s something for all experience and fitness levels.

Can I sign up with a team?
Yes, these events are perfect for individuals, friends or work teams. We can support group fundraising, too.
