Green Letter Days

More to Look Forward To: Green Letter Days Are Here!

For over 15 years, Dementia Adventure has been expertly providing supported breaks, helping people with dementia enjoy precious moments with the people who matter most.

But holidays only happen once in a while — and we believe in everyday adventures, too. That’s why we’ve launched Green Letter Days: carefully curated experiences, facilitated with trusted partners, designed to spark joy, build meaningful connections, and offer uplifting breaks from the everyday.

Green Letter Days are already underway! Highlights include our dementia-inclusive golf days — welcoming people of all abilities to enjoy golf-themed activities, gentle exercise, and lunch in a relaxed, friendly setting — and Walking Cricket and reminiscence sessions at a variety of cricket grounds, combining light activity with stories, conversation, and a truly iconic atmosphere.

And there’s still more to come. We’ll soon be bringing back our much-loved Freddie’s Flowers online flower arranging workshop, perfect for enjoying at home, at your own pace.

Whether you prefer days out or at-home experiences, there’s something for everyone — and more still being added.

Sign up to hear about upcoming Green Letter Day events – and be first to join the adventure.

Return To The Green

Enjoy a relaxed day of gentle golf, fresh air, and good company.

Our Golf Green Letter Days are dementia-inclusive events where people living with dementia and their carers can enjoy friendly, low-pressure golf activities together in beautiful surroundings.

With tailored activities, supportive staff, and no need to keep score, it’s all about having fun, connecting with others, and enjoying the outdoors—whether you’re swinging a club or just soaking up the atmosphere.

We’d love to see you there—because sometimes, the best moments happen when you just take a swing and see where it lands!

Cricket Fest: A Summer of Boundless Fun!

Our cricket days are about more than just the game – they’re about having a great day out together and enjoying those cherished moments that might be hard to appreciate during the everyday. In partnership with Middlesex County Cricket Club (MCCC), these days take place at the famous Lord’s Cricket Ground and Merchant Taylors’ School. They promise to be filled with excitement, laughter, and shared memories.

So why not join us for a cricket event? Experience the joy of the game, the beauty of Lord’s Cricket Ground, and the warmth of camaraderie as we embark on this exciting new journey together.

The Big Green Picnic

The Big Green Picnic is a feel-good, community-focused campaign that invites people across the country to come together outdoors, connect with nature, and enjoy one another’s company.

At Dementia Adventure, we believe in the power of nature and social connection to improve wellbeing — not just for people living with dementia, but for everyone. That’s why this event is open to all.

Whether you’re a care home, community group, business, or just a bunch of friends with a picnic blanket, the Big Green Picnic is your chance to create something meaningful, memorable, and fun.

A Day at Another Place: A Breath of Fresh Air by the Lake - June 18th 2025

Step away from the everyday and immerse yourself in the tranquil beauty of Ullswater. Join us for a relaxed, dementia-inclusive day at the stunning Another Place, The Lake, where every moment is an opportunity to unwind, connect, and soak in nature’s splendour.

Start your day with tea or coffee in the Glasshouse, followed by a guided garden tour with head gardener James Cox. Wander through lush greenery, discover the stories behind the blooms, and breathe in the fresh Cumbrian air. Then, settle on the lawn for a leisurely picnic with good company and inspiring views – the perfect setting for meaningful moments and shared conversations.

Whether you’re a keen gardener or simply love a peaceful day in beautiful surroundings, we’d love to welcome you to this special Green Letter Day.

Allotment Adventures

Our allotment projects provide a nurturing and stimulating environment for individuals living with dementia and their caregivers. Engaging in gardening activities promotes physical wellness and mental well-being, fostering a sense of purpose and connection to nature. These projects not only enhance cognitive function but also encourage social interaction, creating a supportive community where everyone can thrive together.

Join us in cultivating not just plants, but also joy and companionship!
