If you enjoy being outdoors and want to do something positive, the London Summer Walk Challenge is a chance to explore some of the capital’s best-known parks, riverside routes and landmarks in a supportive event atmosphere. Whether you take part on your own, with friends, or as a workplace team, it’s a rewarding way to challenge yourself while raising vital funds.
With 10km, 25km and Marathon distances to choose from, there’s something to suit a wide range of fitness levels, and every step helps support people living with dementia and those who care for them.

Fundraising & Fees
By taking part in the London Summer Walk Challenge for Dementia Adventure, you’ll help us fund supported holidays, outdoor experiences, and training for families affected by dementia. As a small charity, we rely on our challenge participants to help us continue this work.
Costs (depending on distance):
- Registration fee : From £20
- Fundraising: Minimum fundraising targets from £100
Entry fees and fundraising targets vary depending on the distance you choose.
Your fundraising helps cover the cost of your place, with the remaining funds going directly to Dementia Adventure. Any fundraising above your target supports our work in full.

- A T Shirt or running vest to wear during the challenge
Training and preparation
Good preparation and smart planning are key for longer walking challenges. From the moment you sign up, you’ll have access to the Ultra Challenge App, which includes training guides, maps, event updates, optional training walks and useful preparation resources.
Whether you’re taking on a 10 km walk or a much longer endurance challenge, choosing the right distance and building up gradually will help you feel prepared.
