Accessible Adventures on the Water

Boat Trips in the Great Outdoors

Our boat trips offer a unique opportunity to experience the calming rhythm of the water, fresh air, and open surroundings in a safe, supported, and inclusive environment.

These trips are specially designed to be accessible for people living with dementia and their companions, helping to create meaningful shared experiences in nature.

Spending time on the water provides a gentle change of pace, offering fresh air, open surroundings and a chance to step away from everyday routines. Each trip is unhurried, allowing participants to relax, take in the scenery and enjoy meaningful time together.

These experiences are designed with wellbeing in mind, helping to encourage relaxation, social connection and confidence through shared outdoor activity. Being in a different environment, supported by experienced staff, can also help create a sense of freedom and enjoyment.

All trips take place on specially adapted, accessible vessels provided by Wet Wheels, with step-free access, wheelchair-friendly design and trained crew on hand throughout to ensure a comfortable and supported experience for everyone involved.

Whether joining with family, friends or carers, these boat trips are about shared moments rather than distance or destination — simple, positive experiences in a calm and supportive setting on the water.
