Live Online Support Session for Families and Unpaid Carers
Join us online for a supportive and informative session exploring how brain health and time outdoors can make a real difference—for both yourself and someone living with dementia. Discover practical tips, real-life stories, and small, achievable ways that outdoor adventures can support brain health and wellbeing.
About Brain Health Matters
In this session, we’ll cover:
- Understanding brain health: What it really means and how normal ageing differs from early signs of dementia.
- Practical ways to reduce risk: Including diet, movement, sleep, social connection, and hobbies.
- The power of being outdoors: From reducing anxiety and stress to boosting wellbeing and mental health.
- Small daily steps: How just 20 minutes a day in nature can have measurable benefits.
- Keeping active with dementia: How outdoor activity may help maintain engagement and cognitive function.
- Overcoming common barriers: Tips for fears around getting lost, mobility challenges, weather, or loss of confidence.
- Real stories from families: Hear how outdoor experiences have strengthened relationships and improved wellbeing.
There will be time for group discussion (participation is as much or as little as you would like).
Following the training, we will send you an email with a link to resources we mention throughout the session.
