The Manchester Half Marathon is one of the UK’s most popular half-marathons, known for its fast, flat course and incredible crowd support. Starting and finishing near Old Trafford, the course takes runners through the streets of Greater Manchester with thousands of spectators cheering you on.

Whether you’re aiming for a personal best or taking on your first half-marathon, this is a fantastic opportunity to challenge yourself while raising funds to support people living with dementia and their families.

Fundraising & Fees

By taking part in the Amsterdam Marathon for Dementia Adventure, you’ll help us fund supported holidays, outdoor experiences, and training for families affected by dementia. As a small charity, we rely on our runners to help us continue this work.

Costs (for both distances):

Your fundraising helps cover the cost of your place, with the remaining funds going directly to Dementia Adventure. Any fundraising above your target supports our work in full.

Training and preparation

A half-marathon is an achievable challenge with the right preparation. Many runners follow a 10 to 16-week training plan, depending on their experience and starting fitness.

Whether you’re aiming to complete the distance or improve your time, building up gradually and staying consistent will help you prepare.
