Introducing The D Tour Podcast
The D Tour is also a podcast, and we’re excited to announce that the trailer and fundraiser launch today. Tune in to hear inspiring stories of resilience and hope from people affected by dementia. The first full episode will be out on 9th August, so don’t miss the trailer and subscribe on your favourite podcast channels to get updates every Friday.
Why is it Called the D Tour?
The “D” stands for dementia, a detour from everyday life, the vitamin D from the outdoors, and a new way of thinking about dementia. Most importantly, it’s about community—ensuring that no one feels alone in their journey. Join us and be part of this amazing journey!
How You Can Help
We’re beyond excited to have you join us on this D Tour. Every donation brings us closer to our £25,000 goal, helping more families living with dementia enjoy life-enhancing supported breaks. These breaks offer respite, reconnection, and hope, allowing families to enjoy nature and outdoor adventures together. They are more than just holidays—they are a chance for families to find peace, connection, joy, and purpose during challenging times.
Join Us on the Journey
Harriet’s adventure is deeply personal, as she is doing this in memory of her own mum who lived with dementia for many years. At 60 years young, Harriet will even celebrate her 61st birthday on the trail. Her journey aims to create positive experiences for those living with dementia. By listening to the podcast and supporting the cause, you’re joining a movement that believes life doesn’t end with a dementia diagnosis. Your support helps fund nature-based adventures that offer joy, peace, and reconnection for families during challenging times.
Follow the podcast, join the journey, and be part of this incredible adventure. Listen in every Friday—or whenever it suits you—and help us spread the word.
